Some Random Art of Mine

Sorry about the picture quality.  These are all copies except for the snowy scene.

This is what happens when I have too much free time.

Jonathan is 17!!!

It’s been a long time, so I’ll try to get everyone caught up on Jonathan.  He is officially 17 now.  He is 5’2″ (definitely taller than me) and he now weighs 87 lbs.  In the past year, he has started a new seizure med that is doing wonders for him.  He is doing so well in fact that we are taking him off of his original seizure med.  He will still be taking two seizure meds, but that’s better than three 🙂

Since we pulled him out of the school system at age 12 he has been much healthier.  It just became very clear to us that the progress that he was making at school was not worth the risk to his health.

We saw the Orthopedic doctor this past year and Jonathan’s curvature of the spine is about the same (it cannot be corrected) and he has osteopenia (to be expected because of all his issues).  He still using a wheelchair (he got a new one last year) to get around a lot of place, but now he can (with assistance) walk into his pew in the church auditorium from the van without the chair.  However, he sometimes tries to leave church before the service is over so not sure this is good or bad 🙂

Five Years Later

We’ll just pretend for a moment that five years have not passed–I’ve just instantly aged from thirteen to eighteen. 🙂  Much has changed in the past five years, some good, some bad; but either one can be learned from.  We have a Charlie and a Mini now.  They’re oddly very good friends, although Charlie does not like cuddling as much as Mini.  By the way, if a random blank post appeared, just ignore it.

I’m still just as crazy as I was at thirteen, but at least now I’m graduated and in college, working on applying to the Navarro College nursing program.  I’m finally taking the advice of most of the medical professionals I’ve spoken to over the past few years–my love of science will finally have a useful outlet, yay. 🙂
