Jonathan’s ear finally seems to be on the mend after his 4th round of antibiotics. Hopefully this will be his last round for a while. He seems to be feeling a tad bit better the last day or two.

Jonathan came through his surgery great. Came home the next day. However, he has now developed an infection at the surgery site. He started two very strong antibiotics this morning and has a followup appt with the ENT scheduled for 8am on Wednesday. Hopefully, he will start to feel better soon.

Well, we took Jonathan to see the ENT this morning because of a recurring infection that he has had in front of his left ear. Turns out, he was born with basically a sinus area in front of his left ear. There might be one in front of the right also, but he’s never had an infection there. Anyway, long story short, he was on 3 round of antibiotics this summer to finally get rid of an infection of this area. The ENT is going to remove the whole sinus area by cutting it out. Jonathan’s surgery is scheduled for October 20. There is an 80% chance that this will keep it from ever getting infected again.
