Well, it appears that strep throat is definitely at my house right now. Bryan is on his third round of antibiotics for it. Jonathan has had one round, and might need another. Heather tested positive for strep today. Thank the Lord, I haven’t gotten it yet. If I don’t get it, it will only be the Lord protecting me as I am now surrounded. Please pray that I keep my sanity 🙂
Who knew how relaxing and enjoyable hammocks can be. Jonathan’s new favorite thing is our hammock. He loves it and will sit out there with us for a good 20-30 minutes before getting bored with it. This is a long time for Jonathan, whose attention span usually doesn’t last more than just a few minutes.
Jonathan spent most of today at the ER. I guess I should learn to be more careful before calling the Pediatrician. I called because over the last few days, Jonathan has started waking up several times during the night, most of the time with a wet diaper. This is very unusual for him. The Pediatrician needed a urine sample, which he didn’t feel comfortable with his staff trying to get at his office because Jonathan is the way he is. So, he sent us to the hospital to have it done, but we had to go to the ER for that. Unfortunately, once you go to the ER, they see Jonathan’s previous records and automatically contact the Endocrinologist because Jonathan has hypernatremia as well as some other hormone issues due to a tiny pituitary gland. Soo, we were there most of the day to find out that Jonathan does not have a UTI, and it’s probably not Diabetes Insipidus (water diabetes). It might be something behavioral. Meaning, we spent all day to find out that there isn’t anything they can do. On the upside, he doesn’t have a virus or illness or infection so he didn’t need any more meds 🙂 Hopefully, he will start sleeping again soon. I’m too old for this.
It seems that my duaghter has grown up so much recently. She is now learning Geometry (this is really taxing my brain). I barely remember Geometry and am having to do a lot of studying 🙂 I can’t believe she is going to be 12 this year.
