Jonathan finally seems like he is feeling better, thanks to a new Pediatrician and another round of antibiotics (stronger ones for resistive infections). The new doctor believe that it was a really bad sinus infection with some ear involvement. His temp has been much closer to normal the last couple of days. The new doc also said that Jonathan might need to go to an allergist as he seems to have pretty bad allergies. He is already taking an adult dose of Nasonex and Claritin on a daily basis.
Jonathan is still running a low grade fever. It’s staying, for the most part, around 100. It will be a month this Friday since he started running fever. He will also finish a 2 week round of Augmentin this Friday. I am hoping that the doctor’s will have some idea of what they want to do after that if he is still running fever.
Jonathan is still running fever, after 5 days of antibiotics. I still think that the fever and crankiness and tiredness are caused by the increase in one of his seizure medications. However, before they are willing to go back down to the previous dose, he has to take a round of antibiotics in case it’s caused by an infection. Only the Lord is keeping me sane. I feel bad for Jonathan. There really isn’t much I can do to help him feel better.
Jonathan has been running a temp around 100 for 2 weeks now. We go to the doctor again tomorrow. Hopefully, they will be able to come up with an idea or we will probably have to start doing tests to figure out why. He is also not wanting to drink as of yesterday. Please pray for him.
I’m sure most of you know that Jonathan has always had a hard time gaining weight. Especially enough to keep the Endocrinologist from worrying. Well, I just weighed him on the Wii tonight (with Wii Fit Plus). It says that he now weighs a little over 43 pounds. That means that he has gained approximately 2 pounds in the last month or so. I’m very excited. While this means that it will be even harder for me to carry him or pick him up, it also means that he is finally, for whatever reason, starting to gain weight. Woohoo 🙂
