Jonathan has been doing well, pretty much since coming home from the hospital in February. His only health issues, other than the normal stuff, was one or two hours of strep throat that didn’t last too long and a sinus infection following a cold.
He really isn’t my little boy anymore :). He has gained, as of two weeks ago, 15 pounds since February. He is also almost as tall as me now. He comes to approximately my chin.
Anyway, just wanted to let everyone know how well he is doing. The Lord is good.
I turned 13 last Friday. Last Wednesday me and my friends had a party to celebrate. It was so fun! My mom and dad gave me something every day from Monday to Friday the week of my birthday. I still haven’t got a cockatiel or chickens, but that’ll have to wait.:)
I don’t know if it feels different or not to be 13, I’ve never been a teen before. School will start on the 27 for me. I’m not sure if I’m looking forward to it or not. It’s school and no kid loves school, but it’s 8th grade and the 1st day is always the best.
Well, Jonathan had a well checkup this week and he is doing great. He has been having problems all summer with his allergies and has had to take three rounds of antibiotics for sinus infections. However, this week, all was well. In fact, he has picked up some weight in the last couple of months. He weighed 52 pounds. That’s the first time that he has gotten over 50 pounds and we are very happy. Granted, this makes it much harder for me to pick him up, but I’m just soo excited that he’s finally gaining some weight.
The Endocrinologist did have to up his dose of DDAVP (the med that helps him concentrate his urine properly). I’m guessing that his added weight had something to do with this. I guess I shouldn’t be surprised though as he has been eating like a little pig for several months now.
At the end of last school year we had withdrawn him from the school system, so come the beginning of school this year, he will just stay home with Heather and I. Since Heather will be in 8th grade, I guess that’s what Jonathan will have to listen too 🙂 I sure hope he likes Algebra and Civics.
Jonathan is doing well. We officially withdrew him from school back in April. We decided that for his health that that was the best decision. We are very grateful to the Lord that he is doing so well. Since he was in the hospital back in February he has gained around 8 or 9 pounds which is great for him (not as great for me who carries him so much :).
His sodium has started to be a little higher which is not good, so he has started on a low dose of DDAVP. We are working with our new endocrinologist to get his dose just right, but so far it seems to be helping.
Jonathan was released from the hospital late yesterday afternoon. He is much better. Thanks so much for all your prayers.
